The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: “Who do the night prayer (taraweeh) in Ramadan out of faith and hope of reward will be forgiven his previous sins.”
It is part of the mission of the Harrogate Islamic Association, inshallah, to gain dedicated prayer facilities for Muslim Brothers in the Harrogate District.
The following measures have been put in place until this is achieved to allow for Taraweh Prayers to be said in Ramadan:
Tarawe Prayers in Ramadan
Brothers actively pray Tarawih every night during the month of Ramadan, at the time set for Isha prayer, in various hired locations.
Taraweh prayers are lead, inshallah, by the most learned brother in attendance on any particular evening.
Taraweh prayer times for Ramadan 2013 will be announced nearer the time.
Iftar in Ramadan
Formal Iftar is held several times during Ramadan, generally at a hired hall in Starbeck, where all members of the Muslim and non-Muslim community are welcome.
Brothers should see the “Forthcoming Events” section of the website for dates and times of the planned Iftar gatherings.
Please use the contact us page on our website, or call the dedicated Brothers line on 07751198656 or 07989394446 for more information on Isha and Taraweh Prayers during Ramadan.
